Pewee Valley Veterinary Center's Veterinarians
Dr. Manta Loster Dr. Manta Loster graduated with honors from the University of Guelph, Canada with a major in Biochemistry and a minor in Biomedical Sciences. He was accepted to the Ontario Veterinary College at Guelph University graduating in 1994. In 2000 he completed an internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists and completed a residency in Emergency and Critical Care in Louisville in 2004 Dr. Loster holds professonal membership in KVMA, AVMA, GLVMA, and AAHA.
Dr. Loster and Dr. Ross bought the practice in May, 2008.
|  | Dr. Tanya Ross Loster Dr. Tanya Ross Loster graduated with honors from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Immunology and Pathology at the University of Guelph. She was then accepted to the Ontario Veterinary College, graduating in 1999. After graduation Dr. Ross practiced as an associate veterinarian for 2 years prior to moving to Kentucky. In June of 2001 she joined PVVC. She and her husband took over ownership of PVVC in May of 2008. Dr. Ross holds professonal membership in several organizations including KVMA, AVMA, GLVMA, AAHA and SFT.
Dr. Ross and Dr. Loster have 2 wonderful children, Marissa and Corbin. They share their home with a dog, cat, and family fish.
|  | Dr. Dena Pilcher Dr. Dena Pilcher was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She attended Western Kentucky University for 3 years completing courses required to enter veterinary school. She received her bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine in 2001 from Auburn University. She has practiced in the Louisville area since graduation, joining Pewee Valley Veterinary Center in April 2007. Dr. Pilcher holds professonal membership in several organizations including KVMA, AVMA, GLVMA, and AAHA.
Dr. Pilcher has raised and shown Cocker Spaniels and English Springer Spaniels with her family since she was a small child. She continues to train and show competitively in conformation, obedience, agility and tracking with her Springer, Levi, and her Cocker, Rizzo. She also has 2 loving cats that share her home.
|  | Dr. Mel Leap Dr. Mel Leap graduated from Auburn University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine. He joined the practice in July, 2008.
